Billie Eilish, Pink, The 1975, Guns n' Roses and Lil Baby will headline the 2023 Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta's Piedmont Park September 15th through the 17th.
It's a return for the event that was canceled last year in the wake of a 2019 Georgia Supreme Court ruling making it easier for people to carry firearms onto publicly owned property such as Piedmont Park. The festival had a rule banning anyone from bringing a gun into the festival grounds at Piedmont Park, and last year the festival's social media accounts were filed with posts by pro-gun groups about challenging the rule in court. The fest's promoters weren't able to find a different venue in time for the fest to happen.
It's not clear if the festival has altered its rule for this year's festival, as many artist contracts stipulate they won't play in a venue where local or state gun laws allow attendees to carry weapons in the venue.
Other acts on the bill this year include Pitbull, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Niall Horan, Incubus, Tove Lo and Inhaler.
