Rage Against The Machine have always been involved in politics. It's kinda their thing. Rage Against the Machine have made songs and made statements in protest against...well...the machine. Using a RATM song for protest? Now that's art.

A Canadian radio station 104.9 KISS-FM laid off two DJs Sonia Sidhu and Kevin Lim, on June 29 and someone (or everyone) at the station is not happy with the decision. Whoever is running the controls at 104.9 KISS-FM has been playing "Killing In The Name Of" by Rage Against The Machine on repeat since 6am. As I check their website it seems someone did cut the song and go back into regular programming, but the DJ was giving away RATM tickets as a subtle nod still playing the intro to "Killing In The Name Of".

Guitarist Tom Morello is aware and retweeted "@RATM @tmorello a pop radio station in Vancouver 🇨🇦laid off all of their staff yesterday. Whoever is on the controls this morning has been playing Killing In The Name Of on repeat since 6am (it's now 9:30). @KevinLimOnAir @Sonia_Sidhu It's beautiful."

Lim and Sidhu issued a said: "KISS is changing and unfortunately we were informed that we won't be part of this new chapter. Although this comes with mixed emotions, we want to express one overwhelming feeling: gratitude. We are so incredibly thankful for everyone who shared their mornings with us and invited us into their lives through the radio and our podcast. We've never taken you for granted."
