West Virginia Man Gives Epic Eyewitness Account of a Tree Falling on a Car

Eyewitness accounts on the news are the best, right? They usually involve someone with a unique perspective of what happened, and most times they end up going viral. That's what happened with this West Virginia man's account of a tree falling on a student's car in Huntington, WV. According to the report, a city crew was cutting down a tree, but they were negligent and didn't follow protocol, which resulted in the tree crushing a car parked on the street.

Billy Tatum was there to witness the whole thing, and he said the crunch sounded like a beer can getting flattened. "I hate to say it, but it was kind of cool, you know? What guy doesn't like destruction? That's why we go to demolition derbies."

When the story first aired last week, he also added this classic line: "Chalk it up to a Monday!" You can watch that clip to hear more of Billy's eyewitness account HERE.
