Motley Crue Postpones Vegas Residency

Motley Crue have postponed their upcoming Las Vegas residency due to Vince Neil having to undergo an undisclosed medical procedure. The 64-year-old Neil said in a statement, "To all the Crüeheads who were looking forward to see us this spring, I’m truly sorry. GREEN DAY: Change Up Lyrics Down Under

Green Day might have spent the past few days in Australia, but they definitely were paying attention to the politics back home. During their shows Down Under, Billie Joe Armstrong

changed the lyrics of “Jesus of Suburbia” in two spots. He changed “Am I retarded, or am I just overjoyed?” to “Am I retarded, or am I just JD Vance?” Armstrong also sang, “We are the kids of war and peace/From Ukraine to the Middle East” instead of “We are kids of war and peace/From Anaheim to the Middle East.” This is hardly the first time that Green Day have updated the lyrics to songs from American Idiot. For many years they've been singing “I’m not part of a MAGA agenda” as opposed to “I’m not part of a redneck agenda" during the title track.

Green Day was scheduled to do one more show in Australia today (Wednesday) in in Queensland, but they canceled the concert because Cyclone Alfred was bearing down on the area. It's expected to be the biggest storm to hit the area in close to 50 years.

KEITH RICHARDS: A Respectable Nutmegger

Keith Richards will be honored in his adopted home state of Connecticut today (Wednesday) as the first recipient of Governor Ned Lamont's Award of Excellence. He is being recognized for his “deep commitment to supporting the local community.” Lamont says, "Connecticut has long been home to some of the world’s most innovative minds, boldest artists and most generous hearts. This award was created to honor those whose creativity, resourcefulness and passion have made a lasting impact on our state and beyond. “Keith Richards is the epitome of these values -- not only as one of the most influential musicians of all time but as a dedicated supporter of the arts, education and community causes right here in Connecticut.” The presentation of a custom medallion will take place Wednesday afternoon at the Westport Library.

Richards says, “When you are growing up, there are two institutional places that affect you most powerfully: the church, which belongs to God, and the public library, which belongs to you. The public library is the great equalizer.” Keith has lived in Connecticut since 1985.

Tesla To Drop "Real To Reel Vol 2" On Record Store Day

Tesla has announced they’re releasing the limited double edition LP “Real to Reel Vol II” on Record Store Day. The release is a pretty big deal for the bands fans, as up til now it's only been released at shows. “Real to Reel Vol II” is a cover song studio album, covering hits from the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. The tracks were also recorded using vintage equipment to preserve the natural sound of the time the original tracks came out. Tesla put the whole record together in just 30 days, recording 25 songs in all. If you want to get your hands on the special release, you’ll have to move quick, as there will only be 2-thousand copies released. Record Store Day is set for April 12th this year.

ALEX LIFESON: New World Guitarist

Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson has had his share of ailments, most notably arthritis in his hands. But, he also suffered from abdominal issues related to stomach surgery in 2023, which he finally addressed in January. That's when he checked into Viva Mayr, a health resort in Austria for two weeks, and he tells us he feels "amazing!"

"I lived with intense nausea for about eight months -- horrible reflux. And I just reached a point recently where I just couldn't take it anymore. I was in a lot of pain and distress and [it] was really affecting how I was living my life. So, I went to this clinic and they were absolutely incredible. It changed my life. I've lost probably 40 pounds over a span of a year-and-a-half. I eliminated a handful of the medications that I was on." "I can't tell you how amazing the whole experience was there. They really taught me how to eat, when to eat, everything. So, I'm sticking with it. I've been home for six weeks now and I eat out of a little bento box with four little containers of two ounces each. That's my portion controller. I'm eating really, really well and not missing anything. So, it's all good. I'm in a really, really great place." Lifeson adds that he cooks his own meals and uses organic products.

As for the clinic, he says it's like a hotel, but with a few exceptions. "[There's] no music. There's no phones. They encourage people to speak quietly. It's all very zenny and quiet. But, it's also very Austrian. You know, it's not fancy and luxurious. They're there for a purpose and I tell ya, I will go there every year now just to get a tune up and make sure I'm still on the rails."

As for music, Lifeson and his band, Envy of None, will release their second album, Stygian Wavz, on March 14th. The title track and video are out now on YouTube, along with two other tracks -- "Under the Stars" and "Not Dead Yet." Envy of None will be on Talk Shop Live today (Wednesday) at 3:30pm ET.

Daryl Hall: No Chance For Reunion With John Oates

While it isn't known when Hall versus Oates will be settled, it's pretty much a done deal that a Hall and Oates reunion would only be a figment of someone's imagination. In an interview with The Times, Daryl Hall said "That ship has gone to the bottom of the ocean." Hall filed a lawsuit and a temporary restraining order against John Oates in November 2023 to stop Oates from selling his share of the duo's catalog to a music publishing company. Both Daryl and John have said they've moved on from Hall and Oates.

FASTER PUSSYCAT: Singer's Fiancée Dead After Falling Off Cruise Ship

The fiancée of Faster Pussycat singer Taime Downe fell to her death Sunday from Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas. Kimberly Burch was on The '80s Cruise with Downe, and Burch's mother Carnell tells TMZ that her daughter fell to her death shortly after a heated argument with Downe about roughly 20 miles away from Freeport, Bahamas. Carnell Burch also says that Downe called her on Monday to deliver the news. It’s still unclear whether Kimberly jumped or accidentally fell from the ship, but Carnell tells TMZ that she didn't think Kimberly would purposefully hurt herself. U.S. Coast Guard deployed a helicopter crew and other personnel to assist the Royal Bahamas Defense Force in their search, but they didn't find Burch's body. The Royal Bahamas Defense Force later suspended search efforts.

Guitarist Andy Fairweather Low says George Harrison had six other guitarists in mind for his 1991 tour of Japan before he got the gig. The list included Gary Moore and Alvin Lee. Low tells Guitarist he thinks he got the job after he met Harrison backstage at a Ry Cooder show and “he’d assumed I played slide… Though I don't play slide and never did, I knew this was a life-changing moment – one of those moments where everything is going to change if it happens.” By the way, Eric Clapton was the other guitarist on that tour.
