For one night only, downtown St. Clairsville is rolling back in time. As part of the America 250 Birthday Bash presented by the St. Clairsville Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of St. Clairsville and St. Clairsville Parks & Recreation, Goodman Properties is proud to help bring back a classic Ohio Valley tradition with a temporary roller skating rink right on Main Street!
Years ago, the Goodman family built, owned, and briefly operated Valley Skate Center, not just as a business, but as a place for the community to gather. Over the last several days, the response from the community sharing Valley Skate Center memories has been incredible. Story after story has poured in about DJ Louie, skate guard Jerry, couples skate, overnight skates, the moonwalk, pickle popsicles from the snack bar, awkward middle school dances, and packed Friday nights people still remember decades later. For one night, a little of that Valley Skate Center feeling comes back to Main Street.
This event will take place Friday, June 26 from 6-9pm and will include music from DJ Louie, free birthday cake, inflatables, face painting, a beer tent, and family activities all evening.
