Jack White's Third Man Records has gotten in the music gear business.
Their new division is called Third Man Hardware and they've launched a store on Reverb to sell pedal boards, amps and guitar pedals. The company has also teamed up with pedal manufacturer MXR to create the MXR x Third Man Hardware Double Down, which allows a player to split their guitar signal to two different amps.
White says, "I'm not big on the, 'This is the Jack White distortion pedal -- get that Jack White sound' -- I don't really want to sell that concept. I'd rather try to make something useful that other people can get their sound out of." White adds that the Double Down is "very simple, but coming in very useful in the studio and on stage."
