Evanescence are about to hit the road with Korn, and Amy Lee says that the band's new lineup has her ready to start making some new music.
Evanescence bassist Tim McCord shifted to guitar earlier this year to replace Jen Majura, and Emma Anzai of Sick Puppies joined on bass. And Amy Lee tells Revolver that the new combination has been nice spark. "Everything feels just a little bit new again. Just the change-up of Tim being on a different instrument, is an amazing cool thing. And just Emma's presence and her ability is really fantastic. We're happy, we're looking to work more and more. We're feeling very motivated to work right now."
Lee adds that the new lineup has her ready to create something new. "We're in that mode right now where it feels like it's time to do something. I don't know if any of us are ready to look at it like committing to doing a full new album yet, it's a little soon for that. But we need to just start playing around and getting creative. We're at that place. The itch is itching so the scratching comes next."
The Korn and Evanescence tour starts tomorrow (Tuesday) in Denver.
