Foo Fighters' Studio 666 is now available on demand a month after it debuted in theaters. And the EP Dave Grohl recorded as Dream Widow, the fictional metal band from Studio 666, will be released digitally on Friday with a physical release to follow later this year.
Saturday marked the 40th anniversary of the death of guitarist Randy Rhoads in a plane crash while on tour as a member of Ozzy Osbourne’s band. Ozzy paid tribute, tweeting, “I can’t believe it’s been 40 years ago today that the world lost you. I think back on our time together and it seems like only yesterday was the last time I saw you. Always in my heart. Love you brother.” Rhoads was 25.

The Who will release the first in a series of half speed-mastered studio albums starting with 1965’s My Generation and 1966’s A Quick One on May 6th. They were mastered by their longtime engineer and Pete Townshend’s former brother-in-law Jon Astley.

This box set skips Young's time with Geffen Records from 1982 to 1987.
