Can We Stop Talking About Antonio Brown?

Antonio Brown's off-field antics will be over soon, right?

That’s what I was hoping for on Monday when Brown released a statement about the arbitrator’s ruling on helmet-gate. It was a fairly professional statement; “While I disagree with the arbitrator’s decision, I’m working on getting back to full health and looking forward to rejoining my teammates on the field.”

Hmmm…is this a new Antonio Brown? Did somebody in the Raider’s front office have a “chat” with him about his behavior?

Apparently not. Tuesday morning he asked his Twitter followers to help him find an approved helmet. He said, "I'm looking for a Schutt Air Advantage Adult Large Helmet that was manufactured in 2010 or after. In exchange, I will trade a signed practice worn Raiders helmet."

I don't know how hard it is to find that type of helmet. However, with as much money as AB makes and his connections in the NFL, one would think he could find one without putting it out on social media.

This can’t go on forever, right?

Wrong. Wednesday night the news broke about a chef filing a lawsuit against AB over not being paid for services during the Pro Bowl in 2018.

It has been fun following the drama, but I’m getting tired of hearing about the guy. Maybe he will be out of the news cycle by the end of the day?

Wrong again. Thursday, Brown decided to post this on Twitter: “There's no code in ethics out here, anyone will take shots at you, think they can come take what I got, let's be logical.”

I don’t even know what that means, but at this point, I just don’t care any....wait….Thursday night after the Oakland Raider’s preseason game against the Cardinals, he asked everyone to “calm it down” while speaking to the media. (4:27 mark in the video below)

YES! We can finally stop talking about Antonio Brown...his feet, his helmet, his lawsuits…it’s time to “calm it down” and move on.

He is Oakland's problem now.
